Update from our Crosslinks mission partners Gerald and Louise

Hi everyone,

We hope and pray you are all doing okay in your current circumstances.

In Kenya we still don’t have a ‘lockdown’ of any sort but are advised to stay indoors as much as possible which we are doing. A curfew is also enforced to avoid unnecessary evening gatherings or socialising. When we
do go out for shopping or anything else everyone is wearing masks. Cases are still rising quite slowly but also steadily with a recent increase in the numbers so we will see what the next few months bring.

Sadly it seems unlikely we will be coming back this year, we would  very much like to but are aware this may well be impossible; so please pray for God to make a way but also for peace about it, whatever the outcome. We would love to be back with the twins and for the next baby’s arrival – raising babies in a different culture is mentally tiring for Louise.

We are keeping busy with creating materials, Gerald is recording teaching videos on ‘God’s big picture’ and as a team they are collaborating on writing a Galatians study. Louise has finished writing a study for 1 & 2 Peter and is working on a Swahili basics course for the Crosslinks gap team that come from the UK. However, she will now have a couple of weeks of looking after the twins full time which will hopefully be refreshing as well as exhausting!

The twins are almost 14 months, getting more steady on their feet, not yet walking comfortably but getting there. They are full of fun and energy, they love dancing and banging anything and everything on the furniture.
Give thanks for their health and development and pray for energy for us 🙂

Do let us know how we can pray for you.

Attached we have a photo of the TransformD team working when they do meet once a week and recent pictures of the twins (Daniel wearing navy).

Love from

Gerald, Louise, Daniel and Jeremiah.
