Childhood cancer awareness month

September is Childhood cancer awareness month. We will be praying for this on Sunday:

Loving Lord, we thank-you that you are near to the broken hearted. We pray this day that you will give strength to families where there is a child effected by cancer.  You know the burdens of every child, parent, grand-parent, brother, sister, aunt and uncle and we pray that you will help each one to lean on you and find your grace to be sufficient and your power to be made perfect in weakness.  We pray for healing for all children fighting cancer. Please guide all medical professionals in the treatment that they give and we pray that you will minimise the side effects of necessary treatments. 

We thank-you for modern medicine and we pray for continued break throughs in the treatment of cancer in children.  Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer
