Help William reach the den!

Thank you so much for all your prayers and support for William following his broken leg (read more here). I just wanted to update you that the hospital appointments have gone well and William’s cast is now off. He can walk short distances with walking frame. However he can’t reach the den at the bottom of our garden and I’m trying to help him and wonder if you can as well?

During lockdown I made a gravel path down to it, but now William’s in the power wheelchair his wheels get stuck in the gravel so I’m now trying to turn the gravel path into a concrete path but it’s a big job! I reckon it’s about 75m in total. Here’s a video of the journey we need to concrete:

I made a start:

…and then Lloyd came and gave me a hand and showed me how it should really be done!

We have made some progress but still have further to go to reach the den! I’d love William to be able to get back to the den soon so wondering can you help? Maybe you can help dig, mix concrete, push a wheelbarrow or buy some cement or concrete mix? Maybe you have a digger we can borrow (or you can drive) or a whacker plate (what a great name!).

We’re hoping to have a day working at the path on May 27th so please let me know if you can help at all. Or you can donate to help with the costs on this page.
